Essential online harm and cyber trauma training for professionals

Safety Net is pleased to announce the launch of a new one-day training course, Essential online harm and cyber trauma training for professionals. This timely and essential course will equip professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect children and vulnerable individuals from online threats.

This training will cover topics such as online grooming, cyberbullying, legal implications and protections, and the psychological impact of online harm, and will be led by an experienced and renowned expert in the field – Cath Knibbs, an Online Harms Consultant, Clinical Doctoral Researcher, Author and Child / Adult Trauma Psychotherapist.

The purpose and goals of the training

With the Children's Commissioner's recent focus on online safety, there has never been a more critical time for professionals to be well-versed in this area. Safety Net's comprehensive one-day training course provides attendees with an understanding of the risks and dangers associated with online behaviour, as well as practical guidance on how to support children and vulnerable people to stay safe online.

This invaluable course is designed for anyone who works with children and vulnerable people, including teachers, youth workers, children's practitioners, social workers, and police officers.

Attendees can expect a day filled with interactive discussions, case studies, and practical exercises that will allow them to apply their newfound knowledge in real-life situations.
